When the System Fails You, You Need Someone Who's Been There.
Framed Not Guilty helps defense teams identify statement inconsistencies, evidence-reliability problems, investigative gaps, unsupported assumptions, timeline conflicts, and purported corroboration that does not actually originate independently from the accusation.
20 years of investigative experience. A defense-side perspective shaped by personally experiencing prosecution. Every engagement built around evidence, reliability, preparation, and the defense attorney's trial strategy.
“I walked into that courthouse an innocent man determined to prove my innocence. I walked out a convicted felon carrying the stigma of crimes I maintain I never committed.”
— Michael P. Andrews, Founder, Framed Not Guilty
Michael P. Andrews was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. He served in the military, worked in law enforcement, and spent 20 years as a licensed private investigator, owning and operating several different types of businesses along the way. In 2020, he relocated to North Carolina, where he had built another business and was raising his nephew alongside his partner of thirteen years. On November 22, 2022, allegations of sexual abuse of a child were made against him, a crime he maintains he did not commit. He was arrested on July 31, 2023. There was no physical evidence. No forensic evidence. The investigation consisted of four brief interviews and a single forensic interview that Michael would later discover was fundamentally flawed. The accuser had already been questioned by multiple adults before a forensic interviewer ever spoke with her. The allegations shifted constantly, and the accuser placed the last alleged incident during the exact period Michael was in New York attending his mother's funeral. Facing the possibility of nearly 30 years in prison, and told by his own attorney that he could not receive a fair trial, Michael accepted a plea agreement under duress, stating on the record to the judge that he was doing so not out of guilt, but because a fair trial had been made impossible. From his jail cell, he immersed himself in legal treatises, appellate decisions, and thousands of pages of case law. He emerged not broken. He emerged armed with a mission: to ensure no one faces the criminal justice system without understanding the rights that belong to them.
